Certificate ordering service

Please note if applying for a birth certificate: We can only issue birth certificates for people who have been born in Salford. If the birth took place in Manchester or Bolton, even if the registration took place in Salford, you cannot apply for further certificates from this office.  You need to apply to the district where the child was born.  For example, if baby was born at St Mary's Hospital but you registered the birth at Salford Register Office, you would need to contact Manchester City Council as they now hold the birth record.

The total fee per copy certificate is £12 which includes first class postage. This is a seven to ten day service.

If you require your certificate urgently, we offer a same day despatch service which costs £35 per certificate.
